ACDSee’s most useful feature is its film scanner. Unlike many people, I actually need film-based images for specific shots, like a pinhole camera or long exposure shots. The scanner comes with an excellent list of rare and otherwise hard-to-find film types, including black-and-white and even Rollei, a brand of instant film cameras. ACDSee can automatically correct for red-eye, blemishes and other flaws, making it more user-friendly than other scanners.
