The following highlights from DxO Labs Technologies are new in the v11.4.1.1 release: DNG Profiling. The flaws are horrible:
* On a 6 core MacBookPro with 16GB RAM/512GB-SSD and TIF/ProPhoto RGB/16Bit files coming from Lightroom moving most of the sliders is a real pain. Reducing the amount of specific sliders like shadows adjustment takes 10 seconds and more to take effect!
* Using the graphics chip of a MacBook Pro is useless to increase performance.
* Placing the mouse over some of slider’s panel graphic elements stops scrolling with the touchpad. You have to move the mouse to another part of the monitor.
* The histogram is now placed on top and scrolls out of the sliders panel!
* Opening a second or third file within the same plugin at the same time isn’t possible anymore.

The most powerful feature of Lightroom is the ability to tag your images for future reference. When you have a group of similar images, you can create a library of your own images and then tag them by whatever criteria you like, such as color, subject, and location. Then, when you want to see all of the images that you have of your favorite color, or bird, you can search for those tags and see a list of all the images you have with those tags. This makes it much easier to find the photos and organize them.

With the new release, there’s now a night release for scheduled tasks. You can download a copy of the 2018 and 2019 versions of the newest edition of Photoshop Lightroom Classic CC in one convenient package. To download and install the Night release of the Classic CC 2018 and 2019 versions:

• Open the Photoshop Lightroom website;
• Click the download button;
• Click the Night Release button;
• Click download;
• Click the download button to continue;
• Click the downloads folder and launch the installer when ready;
• Accept the EULA to install the new version;
• Install the software and click Finish to complete the installation.

The new update also helps dramatically with performance when putting a lot of photos on the panel. It makes a big improvement in performance when you’re moving windows around on the screen.
