In my opinion Visual Studio Code is a better IDE for most situations. The biggest differences I found was that when building a binary or package you have to create separate projects for each target (iOS/macOS/Linux/Windows) and each target can have a different package structure, further confusing something as simple as creating a binary. The one thing that Visual Studio Code does better than Sublime Text is when building a package it has a version control system built into it. This isn’t a huge deal but it makes building projects easier.

I would like to have a feature that will select the text highlighted by the current find in the current project. Essentially, select the string of text that the current cursor is on, and return me to that position.

Sublime Text really needs to have the ability to see the text at the current cursor location, how about a single text object, rather than a search results list. Then pressing Tab, Home, Ctrl-End should navigate to the selected text. This would save a ton of typing. But currently it selects the entire list and then I have to press Home to return to the selected text. This is for inline selection in files.

If I have a file open in Sublime Text, open a new tab in the same window, and then close the original file in that tab, it would be nice if the window on the new tab would simply reopen with the file and save settings.

The Sublime Text classic editor has a fixed size window. It is very confusing to move between tabs and the scroll bar is not always visible. It would be great if the open windows could be made smaller and it would be great if the scroll bar would be visible at all times.

Thats fine but as the disk is failing its not possible to see which large files are causing trouble. Can there be an option to see that large files are listed?

If I have Sublime Text open as a window, I go to another folder and change a file name, if I then right click in Sublime Text and choose to open that file again, the changed file name is shown in the filename input. I would prefer Sublime Text to ask for my permission to open it if I close the window. The new Sublime Text version also does not give me a choice to open with options if I open a file from Finder or from the file system.
